The trade magazine POLYTECHNIQUE devoted an article to our lumen & drop system, an optical metrology solution designed for demanding industrial environments.
Designed and manufactured by Petitpierre, lumen is a compact and intelligent optical measuring device that enables automated dimensional control of microcomponents directly on the shop floor. Thanks to its automatic detection system, it selects the correct inspection program without complex intervention, ensuring speed, reliability, and repeatability.
Paired with the drop cleaning module, which eliminates all contamination thanks to a vacuum gripper and controlled use of solvent, the device forms a patented solution capable of integrating metrology directly into the production flow. Result: fewer handling steps, significant time savings, and better traceability of control data.
The range is available in several models adapted to different dimensional ranges, with modular fixtures according to the geometry of the parts (shafts, spirals, screws, gauges, wheels, etc.). Everything is operated via an ergonomic interface on a 24-inch touchscreen PC, connected to the quality network.
