At the heart of the Acrotec Group, which is made up of a dozen companies located mainly in the Jura Arc region and currently 30 in total, lies an unwavering commitment to innovation. In 2020, the joint research and development unit was created and has already achieved great success. Vincent Rieder, head of the Acrotec R&D unit and Petitpierre’s co-CEO, spoke to Le Micro-Mécanicien.
Vincent embodies our vision of innovation at the service of our customers and technological progress. In his own words: “We’re not visionaries locked away in our ivory towers, developing ideas for ourselves or basic research. We respond to our colleagues’ problems and help them industrialize solutions with applicable innovations.”
Our recent successes were highlighted:
lumen : In 2022, we launched lumen, a robust optical measurement system for the workshop.
drop : scheduled for launch in late 2023, drop is another innovative product. To guarantee quality measurement, we have developed an automatic cleaning system.
But our drive for innovation doesn’t stop there. We are currently working on a revolutionary three-dimensional measuring machine called seido, designed to operate in the workshop environment 24/7. It is due to be unveiled at SIAMS 2024.
Acrotec R&D has been in operation for three and a half years, and has already initiated 35 projects. We operate as an engineering office external to the group companies, collaborating closely to solve challenges together.
The key to our success lies in harmony and transparency within the Acrotec Group. All our teams work hand in hand to develop the Group while remaining competitive in our markets.
